An Introduction

So before going in all guns blazing, I’d like us to get to know each other.

​

I’m Beq. I’m not exactly sure where the ‘q’ came from, but it makes for a good business strategy. It’s a pretty unique spelling of my name; meaning that I don’t have to worry with the ‘1*5!2”7@’ characters after it to generate a new internet identity!

​

I became a self-employed florist this year- after having worked in a flower shop for 5 years, and 2 years of floristry courses previous to that. I still work as a gardener too; I just love being surrounded by plants & flowers, and having the ability to have both inside & outside jobs is ideal!

I’ve always been a big fan of art & design, and although achieving well at both school & college in the subject; once I began my degree it became apparent that I’d lost my passion of putting paint on paper. After many-a-year gap, I got into gardening; and the natural progression into floristry for me became evident.

 

Working with living things is not always stress-free! Plants have this natural tendency to just do what the hell they like!
